Export Packing

Coordinate protection, labels, package identity and installation handoff before hospitality furniture leaves the factory.

Furniture quality and export packing station in a modern factory
Packing is planned around product protection, site sequence and destination handling.
Export packing for project furniture should protect the finish and structure, identify every package, support the planned handling method and allow the destination team to reconcile items with rooms, zones or installation sequences.

Design packing around the product

Packing should respond to the product's weak points instead of applying one generic carton to every item.

  • Protect exposed faces, edges, corners, glass and hardware.
  • Immobilise moving parts and removable components.
  • Avoid pressure points that can mark finished surfaces.

Control moisture and handling

Moisture controls cannot compensate for wet product, unsealed materials or unsuitable storage.

  • Discuss route, season, container conditions and storage exposure.
  • Use appropriate barriers or desiccant only where the specification requires them.
  • Mark lifting, stacking and orientation constraints.

Make every package traceable

Labels should match the packing list and installation allocation, not only the supplier's internal model number.

  • Project, product, room or zone code.
  • Package number and total package count.
  • Gross and net weight, dimensions and handling marks.

Plan destination handoff

A packing review is complete only when the destination team can locate and handle the correct item.

  • Container loading sequence and unloading access.
  • Pallet, crate, carton or blanket-wrap expectations.
  • Damage reporting, spare hardware and replacement identification.

Use this guide in the project file

Attach the relevant checklist to the current drawing, quotation or approval record. Record project-specific decisions in writing and confirm destination requirements with the responsible professional or authority. We record project-specific decisions clearly and confirm destination requirements before production.

Export handoff record

Packing records should connect each item to its room, zone, store, or installation sequence.
